Boryspil (or Borispol) City is located in the territory, which, throughout its history, repeatedly passed "from hand to hand." Various rulers and state authorities, Ukrainian princes, the Mongols and the Polish kings formed a colorful and original mentality of the local population. Several times the city has been completely destroyed. The first known name of the Borispol city is Letch (early 11th century), settlement began to be called Borispol, probably, in the 16th century. Currently, Boryspil is very well known because the largest Ukrainian airport located here.
